THE BRAND

Your Honeycomb provides a safe and secure process for families to create a longevity plan that categorizes all facets of a person’s life: financial assets, digital estate, security, daily life, health & wellness, and legacy.

THE SITUATION

When Your Honeycomb’s founder and CEO, Kristie Kindstrom, reached out to Sokos Solutions - the longevity planning firm needed marketing from the ground up. They struggled to communicate a cohesive brand through design, strategy, and content, and needed to establish a brand voice that would appeal to their target audience.

THE SOLUTION

The brand experts at Sokos Solutions spent three months exploring all facets of Your Honeycomb’s brand identity, marketing strategies, and aligned it with the business at its core as part of the Ripple Effect program.

We started by identifying Your Honeycomb’s target audience and ideal customer, which was the basis for all shared media strategies and earned media strategies to come.

The target audience turned out to be twofold: longevity planning falls into both business-to-business marketing (certified financial planners and advisors who have clients interested in planning, as well as home healthcare providers), and business-to-consumer marketing (families and caregivers, retirees).

From there, we also conducted extensive competitor analysis, an audit of all current content, design, and strategy, and the buyer journey.

This analysis and research provided the basis for our content-writing, brand statements, and design of the brand toolkit.

When Kristie first approached us, she had a logo and a basic website. That was it.

We took the logo and refreshed the design to make the font more legible for her target audience. We also built upon the design with a full logo suite, while staying true to the honeycomb feature.

Our team expanded & updated the color palette, which started out with 3 muted military green and nude/cream colors and turned it into a vibrant, warm, and inviting palette.

This new palette is filled with rich gray, frost blue, bright mustard, warm sage, dusty rose, and sand.

The number of colors in the palette also represent each of the stages of Your Honeycomb’s intimate discovery process: financial assets, digital estate, security, daily life, health & wellness, and legacy, so as Your Honeycomb’s clients progress through different phases, each phase of the service also reinfoces the brand visually.

In addition to the new logo suite and expanded color palette, brand patterns were created and custom-illustrated for use amongst all of Your Honeycomb’s design needs, from the website and social media templates to print materials like business cards, letterhead, stationery, calendars, notepads, and brochures.

The brand tells a cohesive story from every touchpoint and reflects the personality of not only the process, but of the woman at the helm.
